Recently Rehabilitation International, 2012 celebrated completion of 90 years of services in the disability sector. A Presidential Plaque for Exemplary Service was awarded to Dr. Uma Tuli in October, 2012 during the RI meetings in Incheon, South Korea.
- Two National Awards - for innovative approaches for the rehabilitation of persons with disability and for creating barrier-free environment for elders and persons with disability,
- PHD Chamber of Commerce Award for Social Welfare,
- U.N. Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific Award for pioneering achievements in implementation of New Delhi pilot project on the promotion of barrier-free environments;
- Korean Society for Rehabilitation of Persons with Disabilities for partnership work on global challenges for Youth with Disabilities,
- Hong Kong Foundation Award for the best institution rendering rehabilitative services.
Hon’able Dr. A P J Abdul Kalam, Former President of India visited Amar Jyoti School & Rehabilitation Centre on 1st March, 2013. He evinced keen interest in the activities of Amar Jyoti and interacted with school children.
He addressed on ‘Education Empowers’.
On this occasion he announced donation of 50 books for the Resource Room. He also promised to bear expenses for provision of special lenses for visually impaired children.

Call On Lok Sabha Speaker
