Community Based Rehabilitation Project 


Amar Jyoti is running a community based rehabilitation project in ten urban slums in East Delhi sponsored by Narottam Sekhsaria Foundation, Mumbai. The programme aims at development of communities through provision of education, vocational training, medical care and employment.


Employment Opportunities

A three month job oriented Spoken English Certificate course is being run under the Times of India - Teach India Programme. The placement unit at the centre registers and keeps a database of applications of persons with disabilities and guides them in getting employment.

Students of Amar Jyoti School will be participating in “Raahgiri Day for persons with disability”. They will demonstrate an inclusive Basket ball game on Wheel Chair and a Cultural item-Unity in diversity’ between 06:00 a.m to 09:00 a.m. The event is organized by the Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities,  Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, Government of India.

Amar Jyoti in collaboration with Choice International (U.K) is organizing a two day workshop to promote Basketball on Wheelchair on 8th and 9th of December 2014. The coaches are from Australia, US and Nepal.
