Inclusiveness - The Amar Jyoti Way: Gwalior Chapter

The branch of Amar Jyoti charitable Trust was started in Gwalior in  the year 1989 with the objective of rendering rehabilitative services.  Amar Jyoti has been  a pathbreaker in implementing integrated and inclusive education for the last 19 years.  The holistic approach of providing Vocational Training, Medical care, sports and Cultural activities alongwith the academics has helped in facing all the challenges of inclusion successfully.

Starting from admission a team of psychologists and special educators work together for assessment and allocation of classes.  The assistive devices are provided as per need of children with different type of disabilities.

The students without disabilities are sensitized to accept and help their peers with mild and moderate disability, Learning together brings out the best in both the groups.  Those who need special attention are put in special sections initially.  The special educators ensure their integration in regular classes in the same premises gradually as per their potential each  child  from nursery to class VIII at schools is mobile and has a smile of triumph.

SPORTS- For all round development children are encouraged to participate in school competitions and outside school
