A team of 3 members led by Dr. Uma Tuli visited Mauritius from September 9 to 12, 2012 . The main aim of the visit was to explore the possibility of collaboration in promoting Inclusive Education, Teachers’ Training and Abilympics. The response was very positive. A highlight of the visit was the Book release – “Inclusion – The Amar Jyoti Way” and a CD on Inclusive Education by Dr. the Honourable Vasant K. Bunwaree, the Minister of Education and Human Resources, Mauritius.

Mr. Chetanand Bundhoo, General Manager, Training And Employment of Disabled Persons Board, Maruritius visited Amar Jyoti Charitable Trust on October 18, 2012. His visit is a step forward towards a possible collaboration between the two organizations.

An X-ray Machine donated by Nargis Dutt Foundation, USA was inaugurated on October 22, 2012 by Mrs. Shammi Singh, a key member of the prestigious Foundation. The said machine in addition in routine diagnostic use can detect some of the cancers like lung/breast cancer and spread of other cancers.

Department of Disability Affairs, Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment organized ‘Samarth’ 2014 Celebrating Diversity . The event showcased the abilities of persons with disability from all over the country at Siri Fort Auditorium , New Delhi on 15-16 January, 2014.

The students of Amar Jyoti School, Delhi performed ‘Salute to Life’ – a soul stirring dance ballet in the inaugural function of ‘Samarth’ in the presence of Smt. Sonia Gandhi, Chairperson, UPA and Kumari Selja, Hon’ble Minister for Social Justice & Empowerment.
Amar Jyoti School & Rehabilitation Centre, Gwalior received recognition on 26th January, 2014 from the Collector & District Magistrate, Gwalior for meritorious services being offered to children and persons with disabilities.

Regional Abilympics - North Zone were held at Amar Jyoti Charitable Trust from October 10-12, 2013.
356 participants with disabilities took part in 33 Vocational, Leisure & Living skills contests. The event was inaugurated by Kumari Selja, Hon’ble Minister, Social Justice & Empowerment, Government of India. Mrs. Sheila Dikshit, Hon’ble Chief Minister of NCT, Delhi was the Chief Guest at the Valedictory function. The abilympics was supported by Department of Disability Affairs (MSJ&E).

New Building of Amar Jyoti School & Rehabilitation Centre in Gwalior – The school has shifted to the new building which is more spacious and has different wings for all activities, The building is totally barrier-free and has all the necessary infrastructure for inclusive education, medical care and skill development.

As an outcome of Satyamev Jayate there have been several queries and visits of people for replicating the concept of inclusion.
The guidelines for the same have been published in a book and a film titled – Inclusion – “The Amar Jyoti Way”
